Monique Touchstone is an International Affairs candidate at the Hertie School in Berlin. She is from a low-income rural community in Central California, in which she experienced the impacts of poverty and environmental degradation firsthand. While getting her B.A. in Political Science and Sociology, she developed a concentration in social policy with a professional interest in the field of advocacy and lobbying. Some of her previous work includes advocating for reproductive justice legislation, fighting against tuition increases, and campaigning for Bernie Sanders.
